Fantail calendar art!

Kia ora bloggers,

For the past few weeks we have been learning about NZ native birds, we have also been doing our calendar art. For this task we had to choose an NZ native bird. I choose a fantail because I like when it puts its big tail out it looks very pretty. Then we had to draw the bird onto the special paper, then we drew shapes inside of the bird's body, next we got a photo off of the internet, then we got pencils that were the colour of our bird. Then we chose a colour for our background. I chose yellow and green then we had to mix the colour together. After all of the die had dried we got some crepe paper that were the colors of our backgrounds then we did one or two layers of the crepe paper in the colour of the background. And the last thing we did was outline the bird in a black pen. Did you enjoy reading my blog post today?
