Matariki scratch

Kia ora bloggers, Today in class we learnt how to use scratch. Do you know how to use scratch? The scratch project we did was about Matariki. I enjoyed learning how to use scratch and do a project about Matariki. I found it challenging to get the coding all right. We were also learning how to code and use a sprite. In my Matariki project My sprite will find Matariki and then me and Matariki will find the hole cluster of stars but I did not finish my project. Click on the star after the dog as spoken.

Today in class we did some reading about a book called The Choice. Have you read that book before? We did a set of slides after we read the book so first we did that then we choose a character to do then we would read a sentence that they say in the book then you would decide what character I am. 

Tatau Patterns

This week in class we did a learn create share about Tatau patterns. Have you ever drawn Tatau patterns?  Here is a link were we got all of the patterns and information from. I found it challenging to fit all of the tatau patterns on the piece of paper and I found it challenging to to get the patterns right. My learning went pretty well.

Today in class we were learning how to do shading every year we have a little art competition for our home learning book covers. I enjoyed doing it because we got to do patterns, shading and anything we had liked as long as it was for the book cover. I found in challenging to get it finished in time because we started two days late. My learning went great because I got it finished in time to hand them in. I put those sentences in there because our school motto is "Do whatever Jesus tells you!" and because we are a Christian school.

Do oil and water mix?

Today in class we did a science experiment about oil and water have you ever done a science experiment before? I was learning do water and oil mix and the answer is No they don't. I did not find anything challenging But I enjoyed doing the hole entire experiment.

Sign language week.

This week in class we were learning about sign language. So we had to video of ourselves doing our name in sign language it was hard but I got it in the end. I enjoyed learning how to do my name in sign language and i found it challenging to get my name in order. do you know your name in sign language tell me in the comments. 

What is covenant?

Today in class we were learning about covenant. do you know what a covenant is? we had an activity to do we had a choice between a poster slide show rapnormsong action in a team of 2 or more I was in a group with my friend Irelyn we decided to do a poster on card I found it challenging to get it finished in time to present it to the class. I enjoyed making patterns and coloring them in.

My Story about Tropical Islands.

Today in class we did a story about a tropical Island we had to describe a picture and write about it. I hope you enjoy reading my story about tropical Island.

    Tropical Island

I can smell the deep salt water tingle my body  and the smell of fresh coconut.

The bombing sun is shining on the rippling water. The mountains in the background look like they are reaching up for the sky. Behind me is the olive green coconut tree throwing their branches around. I can hear the chirping birds in the background happily flying in the litesh blue sky. 

As I lay there still I can feel the burning sun shine on my body.   I can feel the warmness as I jump into the delichouse water.

I can taste the crunchy salt in my mouth and bite on my jaw. I can taste the salt water when I swallow. As i lay there eating coconut and it tastes like pure fresh white coconut.
